How to Connect to Your Satisfactory Dedicated Server After Setup

Whether you’re hosting your own dedicated server or joining one set up by us, this guide walks you through the exact steps to connect and start building your factory empire.

Prerequisites #

Before connecting, ensure the following:

  • Server is fully set up and running
  • Required ports are open (default: 7777 UDP, 15000 UDP, 15777 UDP)
  • You have the server’s IP address and port
  • Game version matches the server version (check for Experimental vs. Early Access)

Step-by-Step Connection Guide #

1. Launch the Game #

  • Open Satisfactory via Steam or Epic Games.
  • Wait for the main menu to fully load.

2. Access the Server Manager #

  • From the main menu, click Server Manager on the left sidebar.
  • This is where all server connections are managed.

3. Add Your Server #

  • Click Add Server at the bottom of the Server Manager.
  • Enter your server’s IP address and port.
    • Example: 123.45.67.89 and 7777
  • Click Confirm.

⚠️ First-time connection may prompt a TLS certificate trust dialog. Accept it to initialize the connection.

4. Claim the Server (If You’re the Owner) #

  • If this is your first time connecting as the server owner:
    • You’ll be prompted to claim the server.
    • Set a server name, admin password, and other preferences.

5. Start the Game #

  • Select the newly added server from the list.
  • Click Join Game in the bottom-right corner,
  • Choose to start a new game or load an existing save.
